Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, 36, who shares two children with her other half Justin Scott, has candidly opened up about her struggles with breastfeeding – and in particular, how she overcame her fear of doing it in public.
Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher’s – who is currently pregnant with her third child – Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Kimberley revealed how her little ones would initially not take her milk.
“When they’re not feeding, it’s so terrible,” she confessed to the McFly singer’s wife. “Some of the nights me and Justin had – literally him squeezing the milk out of me literally two drops into his mouth.
“We got there in the end but it took months. Those vile nipple shields but I couldn’t have done it without them. Once they were feeding, they were growing.’
While she says she’s “got over it” now, Kimberley also revealed how her fame caused her fears of breastfeeding in public.
“You know some people might recognise you and it is worse,” she said. “You wish you were anonymous.

‘You try to be discreet and I used to do feeds in the toilet alone. With Cole I got braver.
“You don’t want someone looking over and thinking: “Is that Kimberley’s boob?” I was envious of my sister and friends who used to whip it out.
“With Cole I got over it because I just thought who cares? It’s a boob’.”
Recently, Kimberley opened up about her bandmate Cheryl’s little baby, Bear.
The Girls Aloud singers are best friends and Kimberley is delighted that their sons – including Cheryl’s boy and her kids Bobby and Cole – are growing up together and are so close.
Admitting that One Direction singer Liam’s son is intrigued by her children, kimberley said: “The boys get on so well – they saw each other last week.
“Little Bear is just kind of in awe of Bobby – he’s very loud and boisterous and Bear just stares at him and watches him, transfixed.”
