However, Kerry Katona soon deleted her tweet showing support to Ant McPartlin following the presenters’ arrest and decision to return to rehab.
Writing to her 501k Twitter followers, Kerry wrote: “Such sad news… really hope he finds help and peace but have to agree!! With this article!”
While the mother of five deleted her original tweet, Kerry’s replies to some of her followers on the subject remain on her account.

To one follower, Kerry replied: “It doesn’t have to [be] addiction! Depression and mental health are also big factors in this xx.”
To another person she wrote: “100% agree they make it so much harder to recover and pushes you into an even deeper dark place! I know it did with me x” – referring to paparazzi following celebrities.
Kerry also referred to the fact that Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield didn’t refer to Ant’s arrest for suspicion of drink driving on the episode of This Morning the following day after the car crash.

However, today This Morning hosts Holly and Phillip addressed Ant’s involvement in a car crash and subsequent arrest on the suspicion of drink driving over the weekend.
Whilst the hosts didn’t mention anything in Monday’s episode, Holly and Phillip addressed the news that the TV presenter was going back into rehab following an official announcement that was made on March 19.
Before the show began, a sombre looking Phil said: “Let’s start with the events from the weekend. This is difficult for us, we’re talking about a friend here. Like many people, we are shocked and saddened by Sunday’s incident involving Ant.
Making it clear that they couldn’t say much more, Holly also passed on the team’s well wishes to those who were impacted by the weekend’s events.
“We can’t say much more as the matter is still being investigated by the police, but we want to wish those shaken and upset by the collision a quick recovery.”
“Personally for Ant, we hope he gets some time and space to return to full health,” Holly continued to comment about her close friend.
With Ant’s TV future in doubt after it was confirmed that he would be stepping down from his presenting duties for the “foreseeable future”, Phillip insisted that the 42 year old “loves” his career and the people around him.
“Ant has gone back in for treatment. He’s clearly struggling. He loves Dec [Donnelly], he loves his career, he loves the shows they make together and he loves their fans,” Phillip reassured This Morning viewers.
As their time on the subject came to an end, Phillip stated: “The overwhelming feeling we believe has to be that no matter who you are, no matter what you do, if you get into the car having had a drink, the responsibility is entirely yours.
“We wish Ant and all those involved in these sad events all the very best.”
